At the SRHR Champions-Liberia, Jane Valentine Mangwana will advise and technically lead us on addressing critical advocacy approaches towards SRHR Policies throughout Liberia.
Who is Jane Valentine Mangwana: Jane Valentine Mangwana, Advocacy Manager – African Population and Health Research
Center (APHRC) Jane is a global policy advocacy and communications expert with over 10 years of experience working with national and international organizations in human rights advocacy, health and development in the African region. She has developed and implemented a number of successful advocacy strategies on advancing the rights of women and girls of reproductive age in select countries (Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Kenya and Malawi) in the African region. In addition, her role entails translating evidence for policy action. Before joining APHRC, Jane worked as a Communications Coordinator at the Center for Reproductive Rights, where she spearheaded advocacy campaigns that focused on advancing for access to reproductive health services for women. Jane is currently an advocacy manager at APHRC where her role includes developing and implementing advocacy strategies, policy engagement, evidence synthesis and capacity strengthening for CSOs in policy advocacy. Jane has a degree in Mass Communication from Makerere University, Uganda and a Masters’ in Communication Studies from the University of Nairobi in Kenya.
